Featured Station: Christmas Music 24/7

Michael Clark launched “Christmas Music 24/7” in November of 2004 to share the Christmas carols and other music he had collected over the years. Soon after its launch the station peaked with just over 1,600 listener hours and became a go to station for people celebrating throughout the month of December. Clark enjoyed the positive feedback of his new station and even received several emails praising him for his efforts, and thanking him for creating Christmas Music 24/7.  Surprised at his station’s overall success, Clark decided to continue the station through the year 2005 to see if the broadcast was viable year round.

Christmas Music 24/7 saw increased traffic throughout the year and eventually had more listeners in September of 2005 than December of the previous year.  By the end of 2005, Christmas Music 24/7 was the #1 station for Christmas music on Live365, and #33 overall.

After two years of running the station, Clark upgraded to a “professional” package and saw his station become the third most popular station on Live365 on Christmas Day, 2006.

Since then, Clark has created a Christmas station for several genres including instrumental/jazz, country, contemporary Christian, classical/orchestral, and eclectic; all of which have been successful in bringing the holiday spirit to over 174 countries worldwide.

More recently, Clark started accepting music submissions via SonicBids online to explore other music options and encourage people to share their favorite holiday tunes.  He anticipates these new songs will be on the air in the late summer.

Whether or not you have your own favorites to offer, you can be certain that holiday jingles can be heard year round on Christmas Music 24/7!
