Featured Station: Women of Substance

Since 2007, Bree Noble has operated “Women of Substance Radio” and has provided quality music from all genres to its loyal group of listeners. What originally started as a hobby, and a way to arrange and play her favorite songs, has grown rapidly into “the” destination on the Internet for great music by female artists.

Originally a “hobbyist” station, Noble wanted to escape from mainstream media and encourage the importance of real music and individuality. As her station grew, Noble increased her involvement in the station’s development and has added many features to WOS.

In five short years, WOS has become a “Professional” station, hosts weekly scheduled broadcasts, and has been a springboard for many talented artists. Most recently, WOS artists have been featured on Bravo’s “Platinum Hit”, American Idol, among other T.V. appearances.

Every year WOS strives to increase their growth. Recent additions include a 4 hour "Countdown" Show, a live Showcase and several videos of all the performers online. Additionally, the show is looking into hosting more events that will offer artists opportunities to perform, network and learn from Music Industry Pros.

WOS listeners appreciate and trust the station as a source for great new music, and Noble is always looking for ways to keep the station unique. “Whether you’re a label artist or an Independent, if you’ve got great music, you’re on Women of substance Radio.”
