Featured Station: Gothic Paradise

Since 2001, “Gothic Paradise” has been bringing all the best gothic, industrial, synthpop and dreampop to music listeners worldwide. Jacob Bogedahl (aka DJ Jakob) is the manager of Gothic Paradise on Live365, and brings his 15 years of experience, and a deep passion for club music to the internet air waves.

Jacob began his personal web site in 1996 where he showcased his skills and featured the various artists and musical styles he enjoyed. As the website grew, he started adding more artists, more reviews and more information about the underground Gothic/Industrial and Synthpop scene.

While working as a DJ at a local club, Jacob immersed himself in the gothic music scene and further developed his skills as a DJ and a music connoisseur. He then began working with a station on mp3.com where he promoted local artists and learned how to successfully manage an internet radio station. It was here that Jacob got the idea to establish his own station and combine his love of music with the desire to promote new artists. In January of 2001, Gothic Paradise became a part of the Live365 Radio Network.

Jacob has consistently been responsible for his stations maintenance and enjoys being exposed to new artists. “I find great accomplishment in my radio shows and the work I do here, working with labels and artists. I work with a wider variety of music, while still working with the club-friendly music”. Gothic paradise is updated several times every week to include both new and “top 10” playlists. In addition to his station, Jacob also owns Gothicparadise.com, a place for fellow gothic music listeners to read and learn more about DJ Jakob.
