Featured Station: All Over The Place
Rob Galgano started “All Over The Place” as a way to continue his radio career, which started at WRPI in Troy, NY in the early ‘80s and ended at WICN in Worcester, MA in 1986. Despite being out of radio for quite some time, Rob’s desire to be on the air never ceased to exist. When the technology finally became available for low-cost Internet broadcasting, Rob jumped right in. AOTP began basic broadcasting on Live365 in 2003.
Although he was back in the radio world, Rob wanted to maximize his time on the air. As a result, Rob served as a DJ at two additional Internet radio stations, Homegrown Radio NJ, and Hear New Brunswick. After a few years with both stations, Rob began to focus exclusively on doing live AOTP broadcasts from his attic in Westfield.. As of Fall 2011, AOTP is broadcasting live full time.
Rob’s favorite musical genres are indie pop, new wave and alternative rock, but anything is fair game for the AOTP playlist, which is filled with all kinds of music from the '60s to today, all in one neat package. “It's like the weather: if you don't like what's on now, wait a few minutes and it will change.” AOTP draws from a library of over 65,000 songs, with new tracks being added every week.
Since going live, AOTP has garnered numerous “Favorite Station” selections and several followers on Facebook; including Mark Edwards of “My Dad Is Dead”, John Wicks of “The Records”, and Don Gerard, the mayor of Champaign, IL! AOTP has also developed an international following with many recent listeners tuning in from Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Mexico, France, Pakistan and Japan.
You can follow AOTP on Twitter (@AOTPonLive365) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/48817048935) or visit AOTP’s official website (http://www.aotpradio.com).
It’s bound to confuse as well as delight – All Over The Place on Live365.com!

Featured Station: Smooth Jazz by Mr. Radio
Smooth Jazz by Mr. Radio was created back in March 2011 to open a new portal to the sounds of Smooth Jazz. Before Smooth Jazz, the Dallas/Fort Worth got it’s fill of cool sounds from a terrestrial station called “The Oasis”. Sadly, the parent company decided to change its programming and left the listening community empty handed.
At this time, Mr. Radio decided to start his own radio station help keep smooth jazz alive to listeners in the area.
The music heard on “Smooth Jazz by Mr. Radio” is taken from Mr. Radio’s personal collection of music; Artists such as Pieces Of A Dream, Kim Waters, Ronny Jordan, Lee Ritenour, and Candy Dulfer are just some of the many well know musicians that are played on the station. In addition, Mr. Radio has found a number of new and upcoming artists who he believes are on the way to stardom.
Mr. Radio takes great pride in his music and even attributes his stage name to the song “Mr. Radio” by Soulride. “The selection process for songs that are played is based on my feeling when I hear the song for the first time. In a lot of cases, it does not take more than a minute to feel the vibe of the songs. Many artists portray certain musical techniques in their music such as syncopation (Jeff Lorber) catch my eye quickly along with the crafty ways each artist wraps their own touch to the songs they produce”.
Since March of this year, Mr. Radio’s journey as a new broadcaster on the internet has truly been packed with many enjoyable moments. “The numerous comments I get from the listeners is exciting and inspiring. It has been even more surprising to be contacted by artists about getting me to listen to their music and consider playing their music on the station.” One of the artists, Sylvia Bennett, happened to be a Grammy Award nominee!
Mr. Radio is passionate about his station, and continues to grow his audience. “Smooth Jazz with Mr. Radio gives the artists the chance to get more exposure and I as a broadcaster to have the confidence that I do select good music for one’s ears”.

Featured Station: 24 Hour Cocktail Party!
Since 2005 The 24 Hour Cocktail Party on Live365 has provided listeners with swinging and sophisticated sounds in the setting of a non-stop cocktail party from the smashing days of the 1960s.
Host “Mr. Baxter” lays down the best in pop, American standards, jazz, lounge, orchestral pop, British Invasion and Bossa Nova from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Cocktail Party plays artists from Dick Haymes, Ella, Sinatra and Bobby Darin to Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, Bobby Goldsboro, Joey Heatherton and Glen Campbell. Orchestral and Instrumental pop are well represented by the likes of Henry Mancini, Roger Williams, Percy Faith and The Hollyridge Strings covering selections from The Beatles catalog. Bossa is represented by Jobim and sixties groups such as Brasil '66.
In addition to the archives of 50 years ago, Cocktail Party plays selections of Chill and Electronica music from the 90s and 00’s. Groups like Morcheeba, StereoLab, and Goldfrapp complement the aforementioned artists and enhance the sounds and feel of the cocktail party setting and hopefully, provide "older" listeners with variety and "younger" listeners an introduction to American Pop and standards.
The playlist is updated regularly and includes seasonal selections near holidays such as Christmas and St. Patrick's Day.
Mr. Baxter, surfer, snowboarder, part-time musician, and full-time listener started the station in 2005 as a once-per-week live show, The Wednesday Night Cocktail Party! With the increase in available storage provided by Live365 over the years, the live show was replaced with the 24/7 format adding an occasional live Wednesday Night Cocktail Party or as a rare feature, The Live Live Live A-Show, playing the best of Punk, Bubblegum and Rockabilly.
Cocktail Party encourages it’s listeners to make suggestions and send requests for songs. As a result, Mr. Baxter has had the pleasure of interacting with listeners from all over the world. “It has been a wonderful experience”.
Baxter hopes that listeners of the show come away familiar with a time when style and sophistication was the rule of social interaction, and music was the perfect mixer.
