Featured Station: 80's Party Machine
Turn the dial to “80’s Party Machine” and you might find yourself sporting parachute pants, sideways ponytails, or wayfarer sunglasses sooner than you can say “totally awesome”! That’s because “The Big Dawg” a.k.a. DJ Leo B is streaming his incredible collection of 80’s pop and R&B to listeners 24/7.
80’s Party Machine focuses on variety, and includes tons of 80’s hits from artists all over the world. “Traditional radio has lost it way, I was getting tired of hearing the same song 3-4 times a day” says Big Dawg. At 80’s Party Machine, every day is a “no repeat day”. “People enjoy variety, and that’s what I hope to deliver”.
Since joining Live365, 80’s Party Machine has grown rapidly, and averages roughly 50,000 listening hours per month. Although based in Duluth, Minnesota, Big Dawg has also been able to connect with other broadcasters from all over North America, share tips & tricks, and even make some friends along the way. “I rarely listen to terrestrial; I have my stations to enjoy as well as several of my fellow broadcasters stations while on my computer or with my smartphone”.

Featured Station: Jingletown Jazz
Jingletown Jazz- JJIR, has been bringing smooth jazz to internet radio listeners since 2007. Originally getting its name from the artist community “Jingletown” located in Oakland, Jingletown Jazz Radio has boasted Free Airplay & Free Promotions to indie artists, as well as helping the world-wide community with autism awareness.
“On Air Personality” Louie Marxx has been running the operation for 4 years, and has enjoyed the constant flow of new artists and music. "There are so many new and undiscovered indie smooth jazz artists that are on their way to success, they just need the airplay to be discovered by the public and that’s where I come in." To assist them, platforms like Airplay Direct, NoisyPlanet and Music Submit all have contributed airplay of various indie smooth jazz artists to Louie Marxx’s smooth jazz radio network.
Currently, JJIR features a “Smooth Jazz Artist of the Month” which has included teenage saxophone star Vincent Ingala, and guitarist Joel Del Rosario. Another recent addition is, "Slow Jams" with Host Kevin “Slow Jammin” James.
As a radio host, Louie believes that Jingletown Jazz will be an added luxury to the very many already established stations here in San Francisco and Northern CA. “I hope to introduce many artists to our station with airplay as well as hope to see many more stations like mine start up.” Until then, you may listen to the cool sounds of Jingletown Jazz on Live365, or in iTunes Radio under Jingletown Jazz-JJIR!

Featured Station: Astreaux World
Broadcast365 would like to welcome Astreaux World as our first featured station! Astreaux is a free internet radio station broadcast on Live365.com featuring ambient music, space music, new age music, electronic music and sprinklings of comedy, science-fiction, and metaphysics. “It's a world constantly battling against implosion.”Jerry Asher aka Astreaux the DJ, launched the station in December 1999 with the purpose of supplying himself with his favorite new age music, ambient music, and space music while he traveled. Instead of carrying CD’s with him, he thought it might be easier to just get online and stream the music over the internet.
Unexpectedly, he started receiving requests from listeners to his station. He had made the station presentable but didn’t expect to get many, or any, listeners. Often a request came for an artist unknown to Astreaux which was a treat as it exposed him to new artists and new music.
Due to the station’s popularity, Astreaux started devoting time to the station and the interaction with listeners and artists. For the first year and a half the station had no web site to call its own, and operated from a "Group" on Yahoo to handle communications. Finally he busted loose and built AstreauxWorld.com to host his devoted followers.
Reverend Dr. Rick assumed the responsibility of the station and the websites after the untimely passing of Astreaux on December 27, 2008. As a long time listener and frequent visitor on Astreaux World, he agreed to keep things going as a tribute to what Astreaux had created.
Astreaux World is 24 x 7 and 365 days a year (“Earth year or any other planetary time measurement”). The station is operational always, whether manned or on autopilot (“when we fold space to other locations frequently”) and follows the principle... "If you stream it, they will come."
Astreaux encourages you to look around, buy music from their artists, meet others, kick the tires, listen to the music, learn about the so-called company, and if you feel so inclined, help out by donating to support the station.
